This Jaguar is a matching numbers car in BRG with suede green leather interior. Restored 10 years ago and used sparingly since but needs some TLC to bring back to top condition.
The vehicle has been the subject of a full and thorough mechanical upgrade to produce a fast road/race Jaguar.
Engine VSE remanufactured XK 4.2 litre with wide blade conrods, fully balanced. Late XJ6 Injection head (9;5;1 CR ) 17/8 inlet & 15/8 exhaust valves. Fully flowed and ported. Injection camshafts & matching Lucas Constant Energy Electronic Ignition. 2″ SU carburettors and 420 air cleaner. Carburettors re-built with new jets & needles to match engine tune. Copper fuel lines and up-rated fuel pump. 13 row oil cooler with spin on filter. Electric cooling fan and up-rated radiator. Hayward & Scott stainless multi-branch exhaust manifold & twin 2″ system
Drivetrain Lightened & balanced flywheel, uprated clutch with new master and slave cylinders. Re-built all synchro gearbox and uprated overdrive. Re-built and balanced propshaft. Jaguar Salisbury 3.31 limited slip differential (LSD) fitted to re-built rear axle.
Electrics Battery moved to boot , car converted to Negative earth. Engine and dash loom replaced to match alternator. Rev counter converted to electric. Halogen headlamps fitted. New overdrive, indicator and stalks. Modern Pioneer CD Radio and CD Auto-Changer with Pioneer Speakers.
Wheels MWS 6″ x 15″ Chrome Wire Wheels fitted with 185 section Vredestein Classic Tyres
Suspension/Brakes All bushes and bearings replaced as required. Adjustable GAZ front shock absorbers, Koni Classic Shocks to rear. Installed XK6 4 pot calipers and vented discs. Standard rear calipers, discs and pads. Servo, vacuum tank and master cylinders, fluid reservoirs fitted with Kunifer brake pipes and stainless braided brake flexibles.
Structural/Bodywork/Trim Chassis extremely good and sound with all necessary repairs and welding carried out to a high standard. The underside being clean and sound. The top bodywork showing signs of age albeit very presentable. The front wings are showing signs of corrosion to the arches. The interior being very good with leather, carpets and wood to a very good standard. A new West of England headlining is fitted.
