1968 Ford Cortina Savage

A once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire an element of Motoring History

The Ford Cortina Savage was the incarnation of racing driver Jeff Uren who took a Ford Cortina saloon and ‘shoe horned’ the Essex V6 3 litre engine into the vehicle. The gearbox was taken from the Ford Corsair 2000E. Weber carburettor, uprated brakes, electric cooling fan, differential, dampers, additional fuel tank and exhaust where all modifications together with dashboard, alloy wheels and badges made for this unique motor vehicle.

This vehicle has been totally rebuilt utilising new original body panels, engine fully rebuilt as are the gearbox and differential. The interior re-trimmed to the exact  factory specification,  headling, door cards, carpets, dashboard custom Savage with new instruments and wiring loom. New glass and light fittings, chrome, period Dunlop alloy wheels fitted with radial tyres. Vehicle finished off with Ford and Savage V6 decals.

A remarkable vehicle finished in Blue Mink Metallic being the correct period Ford factory colour with black vinyl covering to seats and wooden door capping and dashboard.

This is without doubt a remarkable most accurate restoration of the original Ford V6 Savage motor vehicle.
