This beautiful regal Bentley is a late 1971 model with the later 6750cc engine. A former two owner, low mileage and full service history vehicle.
The Bentley T1 was differentiated from the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow by its simpler and lighter front grille. Furthermore the outward appearance of the Bentley is slightly more dynamic because the bonnet design is a few centimetres lower and the radiator shell shape with its rounded edges is smoother. In addition, the badging on the wheel covers, boot lid and gauges featured Bentley motifs rather than Rolls –Royce ones. However the most significant and important issue is the one of exclusivity, the Bentley only produced 1,703 units as opposed to the Rolls-Royce Shadow of 16,717 units.
Rarity is without doubt the key to ownership of a T1 and shall reward the shrewd investor with prices now asking in excess of £20,000 for vehicles with history and province.
This Bentley has a fabulous history, full supporting documentation from the day it left the Crewe factory. In fact the history file contains every service invoice totalling in excess of £77,000 that has been spent to ensure no expense has been spared to maintain this wonderful vehicle.
Family ownership from new passing from Father to Daughter until 12/03/2007 when acquired by the present owner. Accurate and recorded mileage supported by full service history totalling 72,870 miles. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a T1 with wonderful province, un-molested and commanding presence.
